Entertaiment has evolved to take on many forms, from an individual selecting entertainment from a large array of pre-recorded products; through a variety of social occasions, with food and music adapted to the occasion; to performances intended for thousands or more. It often has a light-hearted or playful edge, but it can also be serious and even political.
