Benz & Cie Automobiles has built some of the finest automobiles in the world since the 1920s. The German automaker is also known for its Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Its logo features the three-pointed star of the Mercedes brand with the laurels of the Benz.
The first automobile was invented by Carl Benz. He began driving a car in Mannheim in 1885. This vehicle was powered by a four-stroke engine and had water cooling. In 1886, he had a patent awarded to him for the first self-propelled motorcar.
General Motors
